Toddler: Suitable for children aged between 2 and 3 who do not know how to swim
HK$1000 per person for 5 sessions (45 minutes per session, not more than 2 children per instructor, one replacement session allowed)

 

Beginner: Suitable for children aged 3 or above who do not know how to swim or who are not good at swimming
HK$1,800 per person for 10 sessions (one hour per session, not more than 4 children per instructor, 2 replacement sessions allowed).

 

Intermediate : Children should already be able to swim 50 metres in breaststroke. They would learn freestyle, and the course aims to improve their breaststroke skills and swimming distance.
HK$1,800 per person for 10 sessions (one hour per session, 4 to 6 children per instructors, 2 replacement sessions allowed).

 

Advanced: Participants should already be able to swim 50 metres in breaststroke and freestyle with standard strokes. Participants would learn and/or improve skills of backstroke and butterfly stroke.
HK$1800 per person for 10 sessions (one hour per session, 6 to 10 participants per instructor, 2 replacement sessions allowed).

 

Swimming Team: Only for those who know all 4 types of strokes and who are able to swim 50 metres for every stroke. Please make enquiries with the instructor concerned for details.

 

Adult (18 years old and above): Suitable for persons with do not know how to swim, or who are not good at swimming, or who want to improve their swimming skills.
HK$1,800 per person for 10 sessions (one hour per session, not more than 6-8 participants per instructor, 2 replacement sessions allowed).

 

Adult (monthly fee): Suitable for persons who do not know how to swim, or who are not good at swimming, or who want to be trained as swimming teams.
HK$1,500 per month per person, approximately 12 sessions a month (one hour per session, 4 to 10 persons per session depending on the participants’ level), no replacement sessions provided. Classes only held in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00am to 8:00am or from 8:00am to 9:00am. No classes on public holidays, except on Saturdays and Sundays.

 

Private Coaching: Suitable for persons who do not know how to swim, or for those of different levels of swimming experience

An extra fee of HK$100 would be charged for lessons conducted in Kowloon or the New Territories.A maximum of 3 participants would be catered for private coaching. Fees for a minimum of 5 lessons would be payable on each occasion.

 


Points to Note:

  1. Please put the fees in an envelope and hand it to the attending instructor at the first session of the course. Please indicate the name and contact telephone number of the participant on the envelope. Payment could be made in cash, or by crossed cheque to “Swimming Net”, or direct payment to the Hang Seng Bank account number 383-569-571-883.
  2. At the designated time schedule of the classes indicated above, participants could choose to attend one, or two, or three days a week and at different time. If there are less than 3 participants at a particular session, or the levels of the enrolled persons differ, participants may be arranged to attend sessions of other time slots or to other sessions of similar level. (To suit the level of individual participants or swimming teams, each class is provided with Toddler, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels.) Participants who could afford more time are advised to attend at least two sessions a week so as to enhance their progress
  3. (Self-formed class) If the time schedule of the classes stated above do not suit individual circumstances and participants (at least 3) are interested to form their own class, please contact the Swimming Net to make special arrangements. However, this is not applicable to Toddlers for whom the classes must be held at the designated time.
  4. Every participant has to pay for his/her admission fee to the swimming pool. Those who wish to apply for leave of absence must inform the Swimming Net one day in advance. Those who fail to give notice would not be provided with replacement sessions.
  5. In case the tropical cyclone warning signal No. 8 or above is hoisted, or the red or black rainstorm warning signal is issued, the classes would be cancelled. However, classes would be held as scheduled in case the tropical cyclone warning signal No.3 or below is hoisted. After a class has commenced for 15 minutes, but it has to be suspended due to thunderstorm warning, the session would deem to have been held and no replacement session would be provided.
  6. Participants have to arrive, assemble and roll-called at the entrance of the swimming pool 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Unless authorized by the instructor, participants are not allowed to go inside the pool or to leave the pool vicinity. To ensure safety, participants are not allowed to remain in the pool area after the class ends.
  7. One week before a course is due to begin, the Swimming Net would notify prospective participants whether the course could be conducted as scheduled. Once a participant has begun the course, all the remaining sessions and/or fees could not be transferred to another person/participant.
  8. Participants have to bring their own swimming gear, e.g. swimming suits, goggles, slippers, towels, etc. New participants attending the course for the first time would be provided with a free swimming cap. Participants wishing to buy wetsuits or other swimming gear could make enquiries with the Swimming Net.
  9. Upon the completion of summer swimming courses, participants would be given a swimming skill level certificate or a photograph taken under water as memento.
  10. (Classes for adults) Those time schedules marked with a black dot in the timetable above are mainly designed for adults. However, if necessary, children could also attend those classes.
  11. Participants who have special circumstances or particular reasons may apply to the Swimming Net for suspension of the remaining lessons. Suspension of lessons may not exceed 30 days. Those who fail to attend the remaining lessons within the concession period would be treated as absentees and the number of remaining sessions would be deducted accordingly. (This concession is not applicable to monthly-paid courses.)

  13. The Swimming Net reserves the right to make the ultimate decision on any matters of dispute.
